Bournemouth Air Festival – all going ahead
“A full programme is expected at today’s Bournemouth Air Festival and the Breitling Wingwalkers are staying on to make a surprise appearance.”
This is what the Bournemouth Echo are saying today though the weather still looks just about as gloomy as it did yesterday when the entire air display was cancelled. From what we understand the planes are still on standby in case the weather changes however the wingwalkers can now be heard overhead!

Bournemouth Air Show – Weather Update
Bournemouth Air Show – Schedule changes
Despite the weather most of the scheduled events are going to take place as planned.
The red arrows however, will have to perform a “flat display” unless the cloud cover lifts. There are three types of display the Leader can fly depending on the weather conditions: the Full Display; the Rolling Display; and the Flat Display. The good thing is though that the cloud cover can give the illusion that the planes are closer as well as making them sound louder.
The Tigers should be jumping, weather depending otherwise they will perform a fly by.
The beach assault by the Marines will not be happening though they will be bringing the boat close to shore.

This year the ‘Night Air’ line-up will include the must-see Royal Navy programme, which will take place opposite the bandstand in the Lower Gardens.
